New Applicant Information

On behalf of the Alpha Chapter of the Gamma Beta Mu Leadership Society, We would like to encourage you to apply for membership. The Gamma Beta Mu Leadership Society is a newly established organization that was created by student leaders on the Georgia Southwestern State University campus who saw fit to begin an organization comprised of leaders and potential leaders determined to make a difference in the lives of the college student.

The Gamma Beta Mu Leadership Society recognizes deserving students who have demonstrated records of success and excellence in leadership, character, and unity. Gamma Beta Mu salutes observable meritorious achievement and continued growth, development, and leadership by example. Gamma Beta Mu recognizes the students who have a distinguished and balanced record in all areas. Individuals selected for Gamma Beta Mu must meet these criteria as outlined below:

Leadership - Members must have a distinguished record of leadership and achievement in student organizations, student life, professional associations, or institution organizations that promote community service, life skills, professional development, or institutional advancement.
Character and Integrity - Members must have a distinguished pattern of honesty and trustworthiness in personal behavior. They shall be reputable among peers as well as institutional and community leaders. Moral character, spiritual principles, and beliefs mark the individual as a person of faith and adherence to moral convictions.
Unity - Since we are in search of a diverse group, it is a mandate that members be able to pledge themselves to cooperate with other members of the society in the active promotion of the ideals stated within the society, the school, and the community.

Who Can Join?

We invite anybody interested in the issues and topics we focus our efforts on to join. Members must be able to dedicate enough time to participate and make a difference in the organization.

Becoming a member of the Gamma Beta Mu Leadership Society means to be a part of pristine society whose main focus is to promote leadership, in all its many different elements. Aside from this fact, you are coming into not only an organization, but a family that you can depend and rely on during your college career and beyond. .

Students seeking membership must:

Be currently enrolled and hold a GPA of 2.25 or above, which must be maintained throughout membership.
A committment to excellence to education, good character, and service to others.
Cannot be on any type of disciplinary, social, or academic probation.
Commit to modeling healthy lifestyle choices.
Have the desire and ability to interact with, and present to, a diverse body

3. Check your email for a time to meet one of the officers to pick up an application.
